The children took part in a Halloween dress up disco dance on Friday 22nd October. The children enjoyed the dancing to music played from new Bluetooth speakers purchased from fundraising done by the Parent’s Association. Each class crowned two disco dance champions!  

During the month of November the children remembered people that have died. Each class created lovely art and displays in memory of someone who has died. We had a remembrance prayer service with all the children on zoom. We showed them a video of the art work.     Last Thursday, November 8th, there was great excitement in Scoil Maelruain Junior! We were very lucky to have TWO All Ireland trophies visit our school. Past pupils, and Dublin All Ireland ladies football winners, Siobhán McGrath and Olwyn Carey brought their winning trophy, the Brendan Martin Cup to the school for the children

What a lovely way to finish the 2017 – 2018 school year, listening to the Garda Band. Children tried to find shade to avoid the strong rays of the sun. Garda Band 2018 – Final Countdown  

Our 7th Green Flag will be raised by Mr Paul Gogarty Mayor of Tallaght on Wednesday 13th June 2018. Well done to every who has worked so hard to achieve this award.

  Our 1916 commemorations continued with the raising of our National Flag and singing of the National Anthem with accompaniment by Mrs. White on the trumpet.   Click here 1916  

We had an assembly to mark the 100th anniversary of the 1916 rising. Each class presented a project on different aspects of Ireland. The second classes wrote our own proclamation.
