Read-a-thon

25th Mar 2026

Get your bookmarks ready… because our School Readathon Fundraiser is about to begin! 📚✨

This year, we’re reading our way toward an exciting goal: raising funds to buy a brand new set of iPads for the school. These will support learning across all classes — from creative projects to literacy, maths, and more.

🌟 How the Readathon Works

• Children read as much as they can at home starting on Friday 27th March 2026 until Sunday 12th April 2026.
• They collect sponsorships from family and friends for their amazing reading efforts.
• Reading logs will come home to help track all those pages turning and would ask that they along with any money raised are returned by Thursday 16th April 2026

We hope the Readathon brings lots of fun, imagination, and new favourite books into every home.

🎉 Readathon Competition!

To make things even more exciting, we’re running a special competition:

• Every child who raises €20 or more will be entered into a draw to win Smyths Toy Store Vouchers! 🎁
• There will also be a Top Reader Prize for the child who raises the highest amount overall during the Readathon.

So not only are children helping the school — they’re also in with a chance to win something brilliant!

❤️ Thank You to Our Friday Library Volunteers

A huge shout out to our wonderful team of parent volunteers who help in the school library every Friday. Because of their time, energy, and creativity, our students enjoy a fun, welcoming library experience each week. They help keep the shelves tidy, recommend books, and create a lovely space where reading truly comes alive. We couldn’t do it without them!

🙌 Thank You for Your Support

We are grateful for your encouragement, generosity, and enthusiasm. Together, we can make this Readathon a fun, memorable event — and bring fantastic new technology into our classrooms.

If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, the Parents’ Association would love to hear from you.
