During Show and Tell, the children brought in some of their favourite toys and special items from home to share with the class. This activity helps develop important oral language skills, including speaking clearly, listening carefully, asking questions, and taking turns while others are speaking.
During our Mindful Morning Meetings, we also enjoyed discussions about toys, favourite characters, and what the children were hoping to receive for Christmas. These conversations encouraged the children to express their thoughts and feelings, while also practising respectful listening.
Show and Tell is a wonderful way to build confidence when speaking in front of others, develop vocabulary, and strengthen our classroom community, as the children learn more about each other’s interests and experiences. 🌟
