As part of our ongoing science learning about life cycles, the children explored water habitats. We discussed places where animals and plants live in water, such as ponds, and talked about the kinds of creatures and plants that might live there.
To support this learning, the children helped create a class pond model, adding elements such as water, rocks, plants, and lily pads. This hands-on activity helped the children imagine what a real pond habitat might look like and think about the animals that could live there.
Next week, we will continue building on this learning as we explore life cycles, including animals that begin their lives in pond habitats. 🐸🌿💧
