This week we had a special visitor in our classroom — a little snail!
The children were excited to observe the snail up close and learn about its shell, how it moves, what it eats, and how to handle small creatures gently and carefully.
Together, we created a temporary home for our snail by adding grass and leaves and placing a small bottle lid with water inside. The children enjoyed watching how the snail moved and exploring its features.
After spending some time observing and caring for our tiny visitor, we released the snail safely back into its natural habitat outside.
This activity supported learning in Science and SPHE, helping the children develop curiosity about nature, observation skills, and respect for living things. 🌱🐌
