πŸ“š Literacy Week – Reading and Exploring Nature

As part of Literacy Week, we enjoyed reading a variety of fiction and non-fiction books in class. Many of the stories connected with our learning in science and nature include topics such as bugs, insects, frogs, ponds, trees, and life cycles.

These books helped the children build knowledge and vocabulary about the natural world, while also encouraging curiosity about springtime changes, animals, and habitats.

Through these stories, the children practised:

  • Listening comprehension

  • Developing new vocabulary

  • Making connections between literacy and science

The children were very engaged and enjoyed exploring these nature-themed books, which supported both their reading development and scientific curiosity. πŸΈπŸœπŸŒ±πŸ“š
