πβοΈ Easter Art β Blending with Soft Pastels π¨π£

The children created a beautiful collection of Easter cards using soft pastels, focusing on colour blending and creative expression.
They carefully blended a range of colours to create smooth transitions and vibrant backgrounds within their egg designs. Through this process, the children explored how colours mix and change, developing their understanding of tone, shading, and contrast. The white cross at the centre of each piece stands out clearly, showing thoughtful design and attention to detail.
Inside each card, the children added their own personal messages in Irish or English, expressing their understanding of Easter. They also included the Bible quote:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
This activity supported the development of:
- Colour blending and artistic techniques
- Fine motor skills and control
- Creativity and self-expression
- Language development through Irish and English writing
- Understanding of Easter symbols and meaning
Each piece is unique, reflecting the children’s individuality and creativity. The finished display brings a sense of colour, reflection, and celebration to our classroom.
Wishing you a Happy Easter!
