As part of our preparations for the Christmas show, Elves on Strike, each child designed and created their own unique elf character. The elves were drawn and coloured on A3 paper, then laminated with movable heads and limbs, which made them look like little dancing elves when displayed together. The children later brought their elves home to keep.
During this activity, the children practised describing their characters, thinking about what their elf might be like and what job they might have in Santa’s workshop. Some elves helped make toys, wrap presents, organise the workshop, or prepare for Christmas deliveries.

The children showed wonderful creativity and personality in their elf designs, and it was lovely to see them displayed together like a group of dancing elves ready for Christmas. 🎄✨
